The role of our pastoral staff is to give direction, to train disciple-makers, to spend priority time in prayer and the ministry of the word, and to be models in the process of making disciples.

Lead Pastor

Peter E. Jensen is a graduate of the University of Delaware, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a graduate of Villanova University with a Master’s degree in Psychology.  Having grown up in a pastoral family, Peter has 40 years’ experience and education in not only theological but practical church education.  He has had extensive experience working with youth, is a musician and composer, and is an accomplished and scholarly teacher of the Bible, including Creation Science. He has studied English, German and modern Hebrew.  Peter also brings extensive IT, graphic design and audio/visual skills.

 

 

 

 

Worship Pastor

Paul N. Jensen is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. He has extensive experience with church worship teams. He is a musician, playing keys, trombone, bass guitar and acoustic and electric guitar, drums and glockenspiel.  He has been a composer and worship leader for many years. He also brings extensive audio/visual skills to his position.

 

 

Pastor Emeritus

The Reverend Doctor Charles H. Jensen became the Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Fellowship in August 1981. He is a Delaware native and a graduate of the University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware, earning the Bachelor of Science degree in 1970. He is also a graduate of the Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, having earned the Master of Divinity degree in Biblical Studies in 1973 and the Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Ministry in 1979. Dr. Jensen received the honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary for his work in transitioning congregations to become intentional about disciplemaking. He served pastorates in Wilmington, Delaware, and Berwick, Pennsylvania, before coming to Coatesville.

Pastor Jensen co-founded IgniteUS, a ministry dedicated to helping churches and pastors by building leadership competence to transform America’s churches into healthy, intentional disciple-makers. He is an independent church consultant in the area of church transformation.

Dr. Jensen and his wife, Lois, have two adult sons, Peter and Paul.
